Job Summary/Basic Functions

Under the general direction of the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, the incumbent will be responsible for resident payroll management, resident onboarding and credentialing and serve as an integral team member for the Office of Graduate Medical Education.

Other Information About the Position

This position is responsible for overseeing bi-monthly payroll processing for ~800 medical and dental residents and fellows, ensuring accuracy in scheduling, payroll, invoicing, and compliance with institutional and accreditation standards (including ACGME). Serves as the primary liaison between residency programs and administrative departments to resolve payroll, scheduling, and billing discrepancies.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Manage and reconcile resident/fellow schedules to ensure accurate payroll processing
  • Oversee bi-monthly payroll, invoicing, and related compliance activities
  • Serve as primary liaison for resolving payroll, scheduling, and billing issues
  • Train residency program administrators on payroll and scheduling processes
  • Support onboarding for incoming residents and fellows
  • Coordinate monthly workshops for residency program administrators
  • Serve as a resource for NRMP Match policies, timelines, and regulations
  • Collaborate with GME leadership to ensure compliance with ACGME and institutional policies

Substitution: Master's degree can substitute for 2 years of work experience
