Job Summary/Basic Functions

Reporting to the Department Head and the Associate Dean for Fiscal Affairs, incumbent is responsible for managing all fiscal and administrative matters of the department in an independent manner.  The Business Manager is responsible for maintaining the fiscal integrity of the departments; this includes but is not limited to ensuring that all expenditures are within budgets and available sources of funding. Incumbent will educate the faculty on funds management and will be responsible for implementing and adhering to all relevant rules, regulations and procedures as they relate to the administrative and financial operation of the department.

Minimum Qualifications

Required Education: Bachelor's

Required Field of Study: Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related discipline

Number of years required to perform the job: Three

Type of experience required to perform the job: Relevant professional level experience

Substitution: Degree in other area will be considered with additional 3 years of relevant experience.  Master's degree in a business oriented discipline can substitute for 2 years experience.
