Job Summary/Basic Functions
Prioritizes the School of Allied Health Professions' school wide recruitment and student engagement initiatives for its seven academic departments and its ten associated programs through development and implementation of the school-wide strategic plan. The incumbent ensures long-term goals are met by developing a recruitment plan that includes but is not limited to specific purpose(s), activities, target audiences, communication channels, marketing message, budget and evaluation plan. Creates and implements end to end recruitment and engagement processes to ensure a positive experience from recruits, students, and graduates. Forms relationships with administrators, as well as departments including their department heads, program directors, faculty & staff to ensure clear expectations for all parties involved on a project. Collaborates with the office of Student Affairs and Office of Alumni and Community Affairs and reports to the aforementioned Deans to confirm moving forward with ongoing projects. Provides support, participation, and coordination of all recruitment and student engagement events for the school. Incumbent is required to travel as part of their recruitment efforts.

Substitution: Master's degree can substitute 2 years of professional experience. A Master's degree with 1 year of student or part-time experience in an Allied Health setting will also be considered.

Established in 1970, by the Board of Supervisors, the School of Allied Health Professions comprises both undergraduate and graduate programs. Baccalaureate degrees (Bachelor of Science) are offered in Cardiopulmonary Science and Medical Laboratory Science. The Department of Communication Disorders offers a Master of Communication Disorders degree in Speech and Language Pathology and a Doctor of Audiology (AuD) in hearing. The Department of Occupational Therapy offers the Master of Occupational Therapy Degree, the Department of Physical Therapy offers a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree, and the Department of Counseling offers the Master of Health Sciences degree. The SAHP also includes the Human Development Center, which provides programs to increase the capacity of healthcare providers for individuals with developmental and acquired disabilities. The SAHP provides multidisciplinary outpatient services to achieve diversity of patient objectives that include diagnostic, therapeutic, and restorative services to enable patients to achieve as much functional, social, and occupational independence as is reasonably possible.
