Job Summary/Basic Functions
Under the general supervision of the Dental Program Coordinator in the Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Clinic in New Orleans. The incumbent in this position will provide assistance to a dentist, resident, or dental student as a trainee. The importance of this position is that the incumbent interacts with faculty, residents, students, and patients on both skillful and professional levels providing a necessary service of dental assistance. To provide chair-side assistance to a licensed oral surgeon, resident, and undergrad students in oral surgery

Type of experience required to perform the job: no experience for DA1, For DA 2, one year experience or training as a dental assistant or dental hygienist and Two years of experience or training as a dental assistant or dental hygienist for DA3
