Job Summary/Basic Functions
Under the general supervision of the Director of Continuing Medical Education (CME), the incumbent will be responsible for the planning, management and implementation of all educational initiatives and associated programs under the Office of Continuing Medical Education. The incumbent will interface with various faculty members and staff, and industry representatives in preparing the educational and administrative aspects of those programs.
Other Information About the Position
The candidate will plan and coordinate development of course materials, curriculum, meeting facilities, logistics, activity evaluation and funding opportunities for CME activities. The candidate will assist in maintaining records required for continued accreditation by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the AMA Physician Recognition Award program and additional accrediting agencies as applicable. In collaboration with LSU faculty and staff, the candidate will also develop and implement new CME activities utilizing the outstanding facilities and resources within the LSU School of Medicine Learning Center. This position utilizes a large number of computer programs and reporting systems to accomplish the essential functions of the position including Excel, Zoom, Adobe Express and Outlook.
