Title: ASSISTANT BUSINESS MANAGER

Job Summary/Basic Functions

Incumbent will provide professional level administrative support for all business aspects of the Department including, but not limited to, day-to-day operations, personnel administration and financial management. Responsible for adhering to all relevant rules, regulations and procedures while driving efficiencies and maximizing resources in support of the Department, SOM, and LSUHSC's mission. This includes but is not limited to ensuring that all expenditures are within available sources of funds and are appropriate for the projects and sources of funding. All duties will be accomplished with a high degree of independence, timeliness, confidentiality and initiative.

Minimum Qualifications

Required Education: Bachelor's

Required Field of Study: Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field

Number of years required to perform the job: 1 year

Type of experience required to perform the job: Applicable work experience

Substitution: Master's degree can substitute for one year of applicable work experience.
Bachelor's degree in another area will be considered with additional three years of relevant experience.
