Job Summary/Basic Functions

Under the general supervision of the Business Manager, the job of the incumbent is to manage all aspects of the grants (pre-award and post-award) of assigned faculty members within the Department of Physiology. Generally speaking, tasks include but aren’t limited to: routing grant applications through internal approval chains and ensuring on-time submission to sponsor; addressing any requests from sponsor for additional information and/or revised documentation prior to award; from notice of award, setting up projects internally and monitoring spending to ensure compliance with budgets and applicable policies regarding the allowability and unallowability of expenditures; routing required reports for internal approval and submission to the sponsor; initiating closeout processes when appropriate.

Minimum Qualifications

Required Education: Bachelor's

Number of years required to perform the job: 3

Type of experience required to perform the job: Relevant professional level work experience

Substitution: Master's degree can substitute for two years of relevant professional level work experience.
