Job Summary/Basic Functions

Under the general supervision of the Director of Dental Laboratory Services, the incumbent works as a dental laboratory bench technician in the student clinic. The incumbent fabricates complex dental appliances for patients receiving treatment at LSUSD using dental prescriptions for guidance. In addition to working with standard materials, the incumbent works with the research staff in using new experimental materials and techniques. Understands, interprets, and follows the instructions of the dentist's prescription.

Minimum Qualifications

Required Education: Associate's

Required Field of Study: Dental Laboratory Technology
