Job Summary/Basic Functions
The Neuroscience Center of Excellence, LSU School of Medicine is seeking applicants with an MD, MD/PhD, or PhD degree and with an established record of innovative research on neurodegenerative diseases, Alzheimer’s Parkinson’s, ALS-FTD, multiple sclerosis, stroke/vascular/ dementia, traumatic brain injury, or related neurological disorders.
Successful candidates are expected to have an established recognized presence in the field and competitively funded research (NIH R01 or equivalent for several years). They will be expected to participate in graduate/medical student education and mentoring. Depending on their research focus, recruited faculty members will be jointly appointed in a clinical department.
The Neuroscience Center of Excellence, School of Medicine, LSU Health New Orleans, is home to 16 independent neuroscience teams.

Required Education: MD, PhD, or MD/PHD
Required Field of Study: Neuroscience or related field
Type of experience required to perform the job: Qualified for the rank of Associate Professor or Professor
