Job Summary/Basic Functions

The Associate Business Manager – Cancer Center Support Grant (CCSG) provides comprehensive administrative, financial, and grants management support for the LSU-LCMC Health Cancer Center’s NCI Cancer Center Support Grant (CCSG/P30) and related NCI designation activities. Reporting to the Associate Director of Administration, this position is responsible for the day-to-day fiscal and administrative management of the CCSG and serves as a central resource for monitoring budgets, expenditures, personnel, commitments, reporting requirements, and administrative deadlines associated with the award.

The Associate Business Manager works closely with Cancer Center leadership, program leaders, shared resource/core directors, research administration, institutional grants and contracts offices, finance, human resources, and other participating departments to ensure that CCSG resources are appropriately budgeted, documented, monitored, and reported.

This position plays an important role in maintaining the administrative infrastructure necessary to support NCI designation and ensuring that financial and administrative information is accurate, timely, readily available, and aligned with NIH/NCI requirements and institutional policies.

Minimum Qualifications

Required Education: Bachelor's

Required Field of Study: Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, Public Administration or a related field

Number of years required to perform the job: 3 years

Type of experience required to perform the job: Relevant professional experience in business operations, finance, accounting, budgeting, administration, or related fields.

Substitution: • Master's degree in a business-related field may substitute for 1 year of required experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in other disciplines is acceptable with additional 3 years of relevant professional level experience.
