Job Summary/Basic Functions
Teaching didactic lectures in Advanced Dental Materials and other assigned courses at the post-graduate (resident) level, mentoring undergraduate/post-graduate student research, managing the biomaterials laboratory, and pursuing scholastic and service activities. While a research track position at hire, candidates will have the opportunity to transition to a tenure-track position with laboratory and start-up funds, commensurate with adequate success in the present position.
Minimum Qualifications
Required Education: Doctorate
Required Field of Study: Dental Materials, Biomaterials, Polymer Science and Engineering, Polymer Chemistry, or Materials Science
Number of years required to perform the job: 3 postdoctoral training
Type of experience required to perform the job: Dental Materials, Biomaterials, Polymer Science and Engineering, Polymer Chemistry, or Materials Science
Preferred Qualifications
Other Education if applicable: Candidates with a terminal advanced degree in dentistry or medicine (DDS, DMD or MD) and a PhD degree in the above fields are encouraged to apply
