Additional Information About This Position

Louisiana is at the heart of the U.S. cancer burden with high incidence and mortality from most cancers, and faces significant challenges related to cancer care and health equity and disparities. However, for qualified, motivated, and innovative applicants, these challenges afford exceptional basic science and clinical translational opportunities directed toward NIH-designated priority areas.

The Cancer Center has existing strengths in cancers of genitourinary, gastrointestinal, and hepatobiliary systems, and female reproductive tract, cancer biology, viral oncology, inflammation, immunology, obesity, and cancer metabolism.
