Job Summary/Basic Functions

The LSU Health Sciences Center (LSUHSC) School of Medicine is seeking an outstanding academic physician for a faculty position in the Department of Pediatrics in Lafayette, LA. Responsibilities include patient care and participation in the education of residents and medical students. A commitment to teaching is required in order to provide outstanding instruction to medical students and residents in various clinical venues. Academic appointment will be at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor (non-tenure, clinical track), and will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and record of academic achievement. Minimum Qualifications

Required Education: MD or equivalent

Certifications or Licenses Required: Board certified/board eligible (or equivalent) in Pediatrics; Licensed to practice medicine in Louisiana and credentialed with all required entities before start date

The department of Animal Laboratories-Downtown campus is searching for an ANIMAL CARE TRAINER. Title: ANIMAL CARE TRAINER Employee Type: Unclassified Staff Department: Animal Laboratories-Downtown Campus Location: ANIMAL CARE/CLINICAL SCIENCES Job Summary/Basic Functions This position serves on the Division of Animal Care Leadership team. The incumbent is responsible for developing and delivering training on all aspects of animal care, safety, and departmental processes. This position will also develop assessment and evaluation tools, which he/she will use to create training plans for staff to aid in their development. Minimum Qualifications Required Education: Bachelor's Certifications or Licenses Required: ALAT Certification, Number of years required to perform the job: 3 Type of experience required to perform the job: Experience in a laboratory animal facility. Substitution: Four years of experience in a laboratory animal facility, with at least 2 of the 4 years training employees, may substitute for the Bachelor's Degree. Other relevant teaching/educational experience may substitute for the required experience on a year by year basis. An additional year of experience training employees in laboratory animal facility may substitute for the ALAT certification
