Job Summary/Basic Functions

The Department of Anesthesiology of the LSU Health Sciences Center School of Medicine in New Orleans is seeking applicants for an academic faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor (non-tenure, clinical track). Responsibilities will include involvement in clinical services as well as teaching activities and resident supervision.

Minimum Qualifications

Required Education: MD or equivalent

Certifications or Licenses Required: Board certified/board eligible (or equivalent) in Anesthesiology; Licensed to practice medicine in Louisiana and credentialed with all required entities before start date

The Department of Pharmacology, Biochemistry, and Experimental Therapeutics in the School of Medicine is seeking an Assistant Business Manager. The incumbent will be responsible for adhering to all relevant rules, regulations and procedures while effectively and independently supporting operations for the Department of Pharmacology, Biochemistry, and Experimental Therapeutics, School of Medicine, and LSU Health New Orleans. Under the supervision of the Business Manager, this position provides administrative and financial support within the Department of Pharmacology, Biochemistry, and Experimental Therapeutics (PBET). This includes primarily financial management, personnel management, and contract administration. This position is responsible for implementing and adhering to all relevant rules, regulations, and policies of the University, the State, and the Federal Government as they relate to the administration and financial operations of departmental programs, contracts, grants, and other activities. All duties will be accomplished with a high degree of independence, timeliness, confidentiality and initiative.
