Job Summary/Basic Functions

The LSU Health Sciences Center-New Orleans, Department of Medicine, Section of Cardiology, seeks an enthusiastic faculty member at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor (non-tenure, clinical track).

The successful candidate will have an interest in academic medicine, an excellent training background and an interest in building an academic clinical practice. The successful candidate will also participate in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows. We welcome newly graduated fellows and early – mid-career faculty to apply.

Minimum Qualifications

Required Education: MD or equivalent

Required Field of Study: Cardiology/Cardiovascular Disease

Certifications or Licenses Required: Candidate should be ABIM board eligible/certified (or equivalent) in cardiovascular disease; licensed to practice medicine in the state of Louisiana and credentialed with all required entities prior to the start date
